I just need to start off by saying that matt AND dana, are super sweet together, and they couldn’t keep their hands off each other!! They were oozing love…and I LOVED it! It made my job of catching their moments together really easy. There were tons of kisses, lots of laughs, and silly faces … oh, and their sweet dog sadie :)
So we started off with a nice warm drink at our local coffee shop, since it was a very brisk … ok, super cold, but sunny day. Just what they wanted. We had put off this shoot twice before. This crazy winter we’ve been having wasn’t giving us the snow that matt AND dana so wanted for their shoot. Boy did they get snow. AND cold! I was hoping for a snowy backdrop too! I had visions of a love teepee, and them cuddled up underneath. It couldn’t have worked out any better. We strolled the streets of Grimsby, and I just watched them be together. The best, and only way I like to shoot.
matt AND dana, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of one of the biggest days of your lives. I’m so looking forward to your big day in November :)
then … we took it to the streets :)
lots of laughs :)
lots of kisses :)
and some silly faces :)
and then back to GORGEOUS!!!
and sadie was saying … ok let’s go! you told me about some big snowy field that I get to run around in??
… that’s what I’m talking about … (spoken in my best canine voice, of course!) lol
and finally … the love teepee. I LOVE how these images turned out. thanks so much for giving in to my idea guys … it was beyond cold at this point in the day … the end of our shoot. and what a way to end!
It was seriously cold the day I hooked up with jay AND audrey. Friends of friends … I was lucky to expose their love and excitement for each other through my camera :) I love showing LOVE.
They were up for anything … which is always awesome to hear. Audrey requested we meet at Whitehern Museum. Snow and stilettos … audrey ROCKED it! Then we decided to have a pint at one of their favourite spots to hang with each other after a friday night movie. Of course snapping along the way … soaking up the great colours and textures in downtown.
So after talking about their numerous adventures together, as they snuggled up to each other, I got to tell the story of a fun, loving, adventurous, GORGEOUS, couple looking so forward to their special day. AND not just in any special place …. did I mention New Orleans?
My holidays have been great. While the expectations of doing multiple tasks and projects around the house were looming over me during my week off, I took this week to really enjoy this slow quiet time. Me and my boys just enjoyed ‘being’. And together we did just that! Tomorrow I am back at the day job. Recent changes in our company, and the honesty in which the ‘big guys’ are sharing leaves no room for imagination of long term employment. So what better way then to fill my brain with inspiration instead of doom? So inspired I got. I followed my favourite photogs websites and blogs. I engaged in forums. I read. And read. And read some more. I talked my poor hubbs’ ear off about photography and what I really want this next year to look like. I made sure that every thought and image that was being absorbed into my being, was inspiring. And filled with possibilities. Fashion mags, manuals, comedy, bio’s, and a great inspiring read by Jasmine Star filled me up! I obsorbed. I couldn’t get enough. I think Exposed needs another read through :)
