Seems like yesterday when you sat in your ketchup and gravy soaked fries, after an ‘interesting’ first meet :) full of laughs, dancers and more laughs. I knew when I got home from our first date that I would be with you for a long time. And a long time it has been. We’ve been together, longer than we’ve been apart. We have had many many sunny days, and we have weathered some pretty tough storms. I am proud to say we have more laugh lines, than we do frown lines. We are stronger because we have been together. We make each other better. We fit perfectly :)
You are the sanity to my crazy. The rock to my water. The country to my city. The courage to my fears. The truck to my mini :) We are Ying and Yang. We are one.
Modern day romance. They come from two different countries. Yet not so far away. And with the click of a mouse, they found each other. And can’t wait to be married to be together. In one country. Together.
I met Gillian and Chris where they had their first date. We walked the small marina town of Port Dalhousie. While they talked about, and laughed about their first date, all those feelings flooded back. I got to capture that. How they felt, and still feel for each other is now forever saved in images. Not only in memories, but now with photos to remind them.
They can always go back to that first date. The beginning of a wonderful love story. A story with no border.
To tell you the truth, shooting another photographer was a bit intimidating. But Karen, who is an amazing photographer made it real easy. And I was super excited to be able to ‘talk shop’ during and after our session together. We are very different in our styles, and what we love to shoot. And I loved that she asked me to shoot her. I couldn’t wait to show both sides of Karen. The calm, beautiful Karen. And the fun, crazy girl she is!
There is a pure, lightness to Karen’s personality. She is genuine. She is talented. She is beautiful. I am full of gratitude that I was able to share with a fellow photographer, how I see things, behind my lens.
