Well 2012 is coming to an end. A quick year it has been! So much happened this year, and so much more planned for 2013! My brain has been spinning with so many creative ideas, and ways to bring my photography to more people. I want my images on your walls. I want you to desire to freeze those special, even small moments in time, to keep in your memory forever. I want you to see the beauty and love that I see when I’m behind my lens.
As I went through my images of 2012, I am reminded of how grateful I have been this year. The gift of giving memories is so incredibly special to me. A bond between two lovers. The love and connection of family. The beauty of a woman. The overpowering love for a newborn. It’s more than I can explain in words … so I’ll do what I do best. And show you in images. Some of my favourites of 2012.
Seems like yesterday when you sat in your ketchup and gravy soaked fries, after an ‘interesting’ first meet :) full of laughs, dancers and more laughs. I knew when I got home from our first date that I would be with you for a long time. And a long time it has been. We’ve been together, longer than we’ve been apart. We have had many many sunny days, and we have weathered some pretty tough storms. I am proud to say we have more laugh lines, than we do frown lines. We are stronger because we have been together. We make each other better. We fit perfectly :)
You are the sanity to my crazy. The rock to my water. The country to my city. The courage to my fears. The truck to my mini :) We are Ying and Yang. We are one.
Modern day romance. They come from two different countries. Yet not so far away. And with the click of a mouse, they found each other. And can’t wait to be married to be together. In one country. Together.
I met Gillian and Chris where they had their first date. We walked the small marina town of Port Dalhousie. While they talked about, and laughed about their first date, all those feelings flooded back. I got to capture that. How they felt, and still feel for each other is now forever saved in images. Not only in memories, but now with photos to remind them.
They can always go back to that first date. The beginning of a wonderful love story. A story with no border.
